
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Salt Lake City is continuing its efforts to improve roads and multimodal transportation in Sugar House and the surrounding area by constructing improvements along 1300 East between 2100 South and Elgin Avenue. The improvements include replacing the aged pavement, providing a smoother road for drivers, and enhancing safety for pedestrians and cyclists. ​

ONGOING CONSTRUCTION
1300 East between I-80 and 2700 South
Work is focused on northbound 1300 East and will require through traffic to be reduced to two lanes to accommodate shoulder work.
1300 East between 2700 South and Zenith Avenue
Traffic for both the southbound and northbound lanes on 1300 East are shifted to the outside lanes to accommodate work in the median.
Drivers and pedestrians should use caution when traveling through the area and follow all traffic control signage. Construction will be done in phases and is anticipated to be complete in fall 2025.
